delicious homemade Toffee sauce

This classic sauce is perfect for drizzling on cupcakes, cakes, sandwiching chocolate cookies as well as over ice-cream, puddings and sundaes. Once you try making your own toffee sauce you won't ever go back to shop bought! This delicious homemade toffee sauce can be kept in the fridge for up to 3 days. 

Homemade Toffee Sauce

Ingredients:

300ml double cream, 80g butter, 100g light muscovado sugar

Method:

  1. Pour the cream, butter and sugar into a heavy based pan over a medium heat. Stir continuously until the ingredients dissolve and come together. Allow the mixture to boil gently until a toffee colour and thickened to a sauce consistency.
