delicious homemade Toffee sauce

This classic sauce is perfect for drizzling on cupcakes, cakes, sandwiching chocolate cookies as well as over ice-cream, puddings and sundaes. Once you try making your own toffee sauce you won't ever go back to shop bought!

Homemade Toffee Sauce

Ingredients:

300ml double cream, 80g butter, 100g light muscovado sugar

Method:

  1. Pour the cream, butter and sugar into a heavy based pan over a medium heat. Stir continuously until the ingredients dissolve and come together. Allow the mixture to boil gently until a toffee colour and thickened to a sauce consistency.
