Ingredients: 300g plain flour, 150g golden caster sugar, 150g butter, 1 egg, 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Prep: 30 mins Cook: 15 mins Makes: 14 biscuits
Place the flour, sugar and butter into a bowl and rub together until the mixture looks like breadcrumbs. Add the egg and vanilla extract then mix to form a dough.
Wrap the dough in reusable clingfilm or beeswax wrap and chill for 20 minutes.
Heat the oven to 180 degrees and line two baking trays. Lightly flour your work surface and roll out your biscuit dough until 5mm thick. Use Easter Cutters to cut your biscuits and place them on your prepared baking trays. Bake for 12-15 minutes until a pale golden colour. Leave to cool on the tray then transfer to a wire cooling rack.
Once your biscuits are cool, enjoy them plain or decorate with melted chocolate or pipe with coloured icing.
