Luxurious Chocolate Ganache

With a rich deep chocolatey flavour and silky smooth texture, this luxurious chocolate ganache recipe is perfect for covering cakes, cupcakes and tray bakes. This ganache can be made up to 2 days in advance.

Luxurious Chocolate Ganache


170g dark chocolate, 30g milk chocolate, 300ml double cream, 2tbsp caster sugar


  1. Roughly chop the dark and milk chocolate and put to one side.
  2. Pour the cream and caster sugar into a saucepan, over a low heat gently simmer whilst stirring until the sugar has dissolved. 
  3. Bring to the boil then remove and add in the chopped chocolate, whisking until the ganache is smooth and glossy. The ganache is ready to use straight away or leave to cool for a thicker mix.
