Moreish Mocha Buttercream
A sophisticated topping for cakes, cupcakes, and traybakes this classic mocha buttercream is easy to make and tastes delicious with the grown-up flavours of chocolate and coffee. This moreish mocha buttercream can be kept refrigerated for up to a week.

Ingredients
40g cocoa power, 80ml strong coffee cooled, 350g icing sugar, 70g butter, 1tsp vanilla extract
Method
- Mix together the cocoa powder and coffee until combined and set aside. Whisk the butter until light and fluffy then add the icing sugar and vanilla extract.
- Stir through the mocha mixture until fully combined. For a thicker mixture allow to set in the fridge before using and for a thinner mixture add a splash of milk or water until you reach the right consistency.
